Honors and Aliyot on the High Holidays 5778 - 2017

The word Aliyah means elevation, referring to the elevation of one’s soul when given the opportunity to make a blessing next to the Torah. An Aliyah on Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur is a very powerful and uplifting spiritual experience. Many have the custom to make a pledge to charity in conjunction with their honor in order to ground and absorb the spiritual energies in a real and concrete fashion. At the request of many, we are making these honors open and available to all with a suggested pledge to charity. If you would like to discuss receiving one of the Aliyahs or honors listed below, please call Rabbi Rivkin at 818-368-3937, or email rabbi@chabadnorthridge.com.
