Fundraiser for Lucy

Dear Friends, 

I’ll keep this short and to the point. If you’ve attended Chabad for a program or celebration, you’ve seen Lucy. Quiet, unassuming, hardworking behind-the-scenes, keeping our community center clean and organized. Lucy Hernandez has been our devoted custodian and an integral part of the Chabad of Northridge family, for over 12 years. She is currently fighting a terrible, life-threatening illness and we at Chabad are committed to being there for her.  

We are: 

1. Continuing to pay her as we have until now despite her inability to work as she has in the past. Hiring additional help temporarily to lighten her load when she feels able to work. 

2. Holding her position for her until she feels able to resume her responsibilities to which she is so committed. 

3. Providing her with financial assistance to compensate for additional expenses as well her loss of employment from other sources. 

4. Assisting her with healthy food as well as transportation to treatments and appointments as needed.

You are invited to join us in these mitzvahs in the following two ways:

1. Contribute financially using this special page that we’ve set up. Every penny of your tax-deductible gift will go towards assisting Lucy.
